〰️ what residents are saying 〰️

Don't take our word for it. Here's what students and participants have shared about their experience with our instructors!

〰️ who we are〰️

The Golden Collective partners with senior living communities and residential care homes throughout Los Angeles to bring dynamic, professionally facilitated arts programming directly on-site.

No transportation required, no disruption to your operations.

We serve residents ages 55 and up with classes that are fully personalized to your community. Not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. We take the time to truly know your residents and build something that reflects who they actually are. We come fully self-sufficient — the only thing we ask of your team is help distributing our flyers and a mention in your community newsletter.

Each class is an invitation to celebrate who they are, where they've been, and the full, extraordinary life they are still living and creating every day.

We do not do broad brushstrokes. We show up knowing that fun still awaits. Wonder still awaits. And the best creative chapters are still being written.

〰️ the impact 〰️

The research is clear, and our participants have felt it. Creative engagement doesn't just entertain. It heals, connects, and sustains quality of life in ways passive activities simply cannot.

〰️ the research 〰️

These aren't feel-good claims. They're backed by decades of peer-reviewed research from institutions like the National Endowment for the Arts,George Washington University, NIH, and the University of Michigan.

The case for arts enrichment in senior communities has never been stronger.

〰️ what we offer 〰️

〰️ our flagship program〰️

All packages include weekly personalized lesson plans, all class supplies and materials, and professional facilitation.

We provide ready-to-use flyers and newsletter copy — we just ask your team to help distribute them to residents.

Get ready to let the good times roll!

〰️ our exchange〰️

New to TGC? Every partnership begins with a complimentary 1-hour trial class on us! No commitment, no pressure. Just come and feel the magic! We come fully prepared and self-sufficient. The only thing we ask of your team is help distributing our flyers, putting out our poster, and a mention in your community newsletter (if you have one!). Custom and flexible packages are available. Please reach out to discuss what works for your community.

I founded The Golden Collective after 20+ years of experience as a performing artist more than a decade working as a professional teaching artist with youth and older adults alike. After working specifically inside senior living communities, I was reminded of something we all know deep down but rarely acknowledge: there are still so many shiny treasures within us, no matter how much life we've already lived.

I am a trauma-informed teaching artist with deep roots in theatre, music, movement, and creative wellness. I don't just bring a curriculum, I bring genuine presence, warmth, and an unwavering belief that every resident is still the amazing main character of their own story, with new chapters left to write.

From Camp Encore to Expressive Movement Aerobics to Karaoke Storytime, I have seen what happens when you give seniors an hour of pure, joyful, inclusive creative space: something powerful is unlocked. A renewed sense of wonder. A deeper bond with their neighbors. A reminder that their glow never left, it was just waiting for the right invitation. That invitation is what I show up to give every single week.

Your Questions, Answered!

  • Not much at all! Most of our classes work beautifully in a common room, activity room, dining room, or any open community space. We adapt to whatever your facility has available — we've run wonderful sessions in spaces as small as a cozy lounge and as large as a full activity hall. Just let us know what you're working with and we'll make it work.

  • Every single TGC class is thoughtfully adapted for a range of mobility, cognitive, and participation needs. No resident is ever left out or made to feel like they can't keep up. We meet each person exactly where they are — that's not just a value, it's how we design every session. Residents with walkers, wheelchairs, hearing impairments, or memory challenges are just as welcome and just as celebrated as everyone else.

  • Krystle personally leads many of our classes and is the heart behind every TGC program. As we grow, some classes may be facilitated by other TGC teaching artists — all of whom are carefully selected, trauma-informed, and trained to uphold TGC's standard of warmth, joy, and inclusive facilitation. Every instructor brings the same care and intentionality that TGC is built on.

  • Absolutely not, and we mean that. Zero experience is required for any TGC class. Whether a resident has never touched a paintbrush or hasn't sung since childhood, they are fully welcome. Our classes are designed to feel playful and accessible from minute one. The goal is never performance or perfection — it's joy, connection, and creative expression. Everyone belongs here.

  • The complimentary trial class is a real, full TGC experience — not a watered-down preview. We come in fully prepared with a complete one-hour session tailored to your community. Residents get to laugh, play, create, and connect. Your team gets to see exactly what we do and how residents respond. There's no sales pitch in the room — just a great class. After that, we can chat about next steps if it feels like a fit.

  • We want every resident to love what we bring — so if something isn't clicking, we absolutely want to know. We ask that each class selection be given a full month before requesting a change, as it typically takes a few sessions for residents to warm up, build comfort, and truly experience what a class has to offer. After that month, we're happy to swap in something new at the start of your next billing cycle. Just reach out to us before the 15th of the month and we'll have your new class ready to go the following month.

For the 1-class / Shine package: Since your package includes one class selection, you have one swap available per month if needed after the initial trial period. We'll work with you to find the perfect fit for your community — just let us know by the 15th of the current month and your new class begins the following month.

For the 2-class / Radiate package: With two class selections, you may request to swap one or both classes after giving each a full month. We ask that change requests come in by the 15th of the current month so we can plan and prepare your new class for the following month. We never want to just swap for the sake of swapping — so we'll always have a brief conversation first to make sure the new selection is the right fit for your residents.

For the 3-class / Illuminate package: With three class selections running back to back, we ask that each class be given a full month before requesting any changes. You may swap one, two, or all three classes at the start of a new billing cycle — just let us know by the 15th of the current month. We'll chat through what's working, what isn't, and what your residents might love next.

For Camp Encore — No Changes Policy:

Camp Encore is a structured 8-week program with a curriculum that builds intentionally from week one through the final performance. Because each session directly prepares residents for the next — and ultimately for their celebratory show — the program cannot be modified, paused, or substituted once it has begun. This isn't just a policy , it's what makes Camp Encore work. The magic of that final performance is built week by week, and every session matters. We ask that communities commit to the full 8-week arc before booking. If you have questions about whether Camp Encore is the right fit for your community, we are always happy to chat before you commit.

  • It's simple. Fill out the contact form below, send us an email, or give us a call. We'll set up a quick 20-minute conversation to learn about your community and answer any questions. From there, we'll schedule your complimentary trial class and take it from there. We promise — it's easy.
